Sega has just put out new screenshots for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Scheduled for release February 12, the first person shooter made headlines when it suffered a yearlong delay last May. Since then, numerous pieces of artwork and trailers have surfaced. The shooter, which will debut on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, lets players take control of combat-ready marines as they venture into an abandoned ship recently recovered from orbit. The player will face aliens known as Xenomorphs and engage in tightly knit firefights through close-quarters for survival.
Made after the 1986 James Cameron film ALIENS, Gearbox Software and Sega seek to revive the critically acclaimed classic with a partnership with Twentieth Century Fox to their name. After previewing their game at big events like E3, Sega hopes to find success with Aliens: Colonial Marines as its next big title. Do you think it will match up to the shooting platformers coming out after Christmas?
Take a look at the screenshots to aid your judgement.
