Let’s forget about those boring screenshots, we finally have a trailer for The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker HD for the Nintendo Wii U. It’s looking pretty snazzy with it’s new updated visuals which Nintendo confirmed to be running at 1080p so this one should be an absolute beauty on your HDTV.
Originally when the game was first revealed, fans were disappointed to see the cel shaded art style toned down in favour of something that resembled the more traditional 3D models you see in other games. There was also excessive use of bloom lighting which ended up giving the game a different feel than originally intended.
I’m not here to tell you either of those “issues” were resolved but I am here to tell you that it does look a lot better in motion. Either that or I just love anything Wind Waker related.
The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker HD as it’s known will also integrate Miiverse into the game in a very cool way. You’ll be always to draw or write things and then stick them inside a bottle which will then end up on the shore of other players. It should be pretty amusing heading out to the shore just to see what crazy drawings other players have posted.
As for release date, expect this one pretty soon. By soon I mean October 2013 so not too long to go now, hopefully that stupid triforce hunt quest is removed altogether. In the video below it’s hinted that the triforce hunt section of the game is changed although it’s not explained how so but just get rid of it, no one will miss it.
