Valiant Hearts The Great War Revealed

The Ubi Art engine powering Rayman Origins/Legends is great, that’s why Ubisoft will be using it again for the newly announced Valiant Hearts. According to Ubisoft players will “follow the stories of five characters and their faithful canine companion during the Great War from 1914 to 1918.”

Each of the five characters will come across a dog at some point in their adventure and it’s this dog that will link everyone’s story together. The story itself is told in a non-linear fashion which makes for a refreshing change from what we typically see these days. Hell, the fact I’m doing a post on a new IP at all is a refreshing change in itself so well done Ubisoft.

You can check out Valiant Hearts in all it’s glory via the trailer below.

Valiant Hearts The Great War was JUST announced today so of course we don’t have a release date for it yet, 2014 is all we know for sure. It’s coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Sadly no Wii U version in the works which is odd considering Ubisoft’s other newly announced title “Child of Light” (which also runs on the Ubi Art engine) will be making an appearance on Nintendo’s system.
